Junior Miner Surges on Copper Results

Nicola Mining Inc. (CVE:NIM), a junior miner, shone following drill results from its Thule Copper Property in British Columbia

More than a few investors took a shine to a junior miner Wednesday following impressive copper drill results. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):

Nicola Mining Inc. (CVE:NIM) shares powered 25% higher to $0.275 on Wednesday after the junior miner announced drill results from its Thule Copper Property in British Columbia, which included 1.11% copper over 85.92 metres.

As well, shares of True North Gems Inc. (CVE:TGX) plummeted 91% to $0.005 as the mineral exploration company said that True North Gems Greenland A/S, the Company’s 76% operating subsidiary in Greenland, has initiated voluntary bankruptcy proceedings under the Bankruptcy Act in Greenland.

 

Kombat Copper Inc. (CVE:KBT), meanwhile, reported that it intends to carry out further drilling at its Kombat Mine in Namibia in order to continue expanding its resource base to further support near-term development. Kombat Copper stock moved up 8% to $0.07 following the announcement.
