Cobalt Junior Jumps on Sample Results

More than a few speculators were attracted to a cobalt junior Friday following the release of sample results. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, December 8, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Castle Silver Resources Inc. (TSXV:CSR) shares climbed 9% to $0.30 on Friday after the cobalt junior announced sample results from its Beaver Property, a former silver producer in Cobalt, Ontario, averaging 4.68% cobalt, 46.9 g/t silver, 3.09% nickel and 0.08 g/t gold. The Company added that it will be proposing a corporate name change at its upcoming Annual General Meeting in February, to better reflect its focus on cobalt.

As well, shares of Mogo Finance Technology Inc. (TSX:MOGO) slipped 9% to $7.22 as the financial technology company revealed that it has entered into a bought-deal financing agreement for 3.75 million shares, at a price of $7.00 per common share, for total gross proceeds of $26.25 million.

Berkwood Resources Ltd. (TSXV:BKR) (FSE: BK2), meanwhile, reported that it has completed the first hole of the Phase 2 drill program on its Zone 1 Graphite Body in Quebec, which included a “massive” graphite intercept of over 70 meters in length and close to surface. Berkwood Resources stock moved up 8% to $0.355 following the announcement.
