A few ‘Monster’ assays sparked a bit of excitement over shares of a gold junior Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, July 6, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):
TomaGold Corporation (TSXV: LOT) shares jumped 29% to $0.09 on Thursday after the gold junior announced that its partner IAMGOLD Corporation provided the remaining assay results from the winter 2017 drilling program completed at its Monster Lake joint venture project (IAMGOLD: 50%; TomaGold: 45%) in Quebec, which included 5.0 metres grading 80.28 g/t gold.
As well, shares of Tahoe Resources Inc. (TSX: THO) sank 33% to $7.19 as the precious metals miner said Guatemala’s Supreme Court has provisionally suspended the license on its flagship Escobal operation, the world’s third-largest silver mine.
VersaPay Corporation (TSXV: VPY), meanwhile, reported that it has entered into a strategic relationship with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), part of which will involve offering its business customers VersaPay ARC, an integrated accounts receivable solution, under the RBC brand. VersaPay stock moved up 21% to $1.75 following the announcement.
