Precious Metals Junior Glisters on Mexico Property Option

Harvest Gold Corporation (CVE:HVG), a precious metals junior, moved higher after entering into an Option Agreement with Evrim Resources Corp. (CVE:EVM)

More than a few speculators took a shine to a precious metals junior Thursday following an option agreement. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, June 8, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Harvest Gold Corporation (TSXV: HVG) shares gained 11% to $0.05 on Thursday after the precious metals junior announced that it has entered into an Option Agreement with Evrim Resources Corp. (TSXV: EVM), whereby Harvest Gold can earn up to an 80% interest in the Cerro Cascaron gold/silver project in Mexico.

 

As well, shares of CardioComm Solutions, Inc. (TSXV: EKG) fell 8% to $0.11 as the provider of consumer heart monitoring and medical electrocardiogram software solutions said it has been awarded a $567,079 grant from the Canada-Israel Industrial Research and Development Foundation to enable R&D collaborations with HealthWatch Technologies Ltd. of Israel.

Hydrogenics Corporation (TSX: HYG), meanwhile, reported that it has signed a Purchase and License Agreement for technology and fuel cells with Blue-G New Energy Science and Technology Corporation, in which Hydrogenics will deliver 1,000 fuel cell units to Blue-G to be integrated into zero-emission electric buses and an engineering support component in return for total payment of more than US$50 million. Hydrogenics stock popped 27% to $12.10 following the announcement.

Finally, Hempco Food and Fiber Inc. (TSXV: HEMP) shares rose 6% to $0.50 before being halted after Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSXV: ACB) announced that it will be making a strategic investment in Hempco for an ownership stake of up to 19.9% with an option to increase its total ownership interest to 50.1% on a fully-diluted basis.
